Not as crowded as last Thursday.Gate openned at 6:00am We got there at 6:45. We were the  third boat in line.Stripers and cats were the fish of the day. No big blue catfish,but we picked up 6 channel cats in the 3-5 lb.class. They make you get off the water by 12:30 pm........We had a great day

Openning day Thurs. March 15 Big blue cats! Some stripers.The biggest was 25lbs. Another was 20 lbs. Many in the 3-5 lb. class.Well worth the drive if you want some early spring fishing!

Thursday March 15,   Got in line at 1:00 am. Gates openned at 6am. One volunteer at ramp and one in parking lot.No problems launching.Great weather,but all boats must be off lake by 12:30pm. Fishing was great!!A few small strippers and then the blue cats turned on.We caught one 20lbs. And the big boy was 25lbs!  We had one up to the boat  that had a head the size of a basketball!  She thru her head once and straightened out the swivel. Now we have a reason to go back.
