This worldwide one day event takes place each July 4 for eight hours in each team’s time zone. The heaviest blue marlin, over 500 pounds, stands to win hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The World Cup has been won in 10 different locations including the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and the Caribbean Sea. However, there are many big blue marlin hot spots that have still not produced a winner. Could this be the year?

The entry fee of $3000 includes everyone on the boat. There is also an optional $5000 Big Blue Challenge which last year produced a winner separate from the tournament winner since the team with the biggest marlin was not entered in the Big Blue Challenge. Read More
