August 2nd 2020 – The water temps have come down from the highs two weeks ago before the rains. Now we have had some rain and wind to stir things up and cool things off the backcountry fishing has gotten pretty good. Backcountry Fishing Report Backcountry Fishing with Capt. Brandon of Dream Catcher Charters this lady angler catches what we call a Fire Truck in the shallows. Nice Work! Last week before and after the mini lobster season we got into some good backcountry fishing and it looks like the weeks coming will be great too. Pretty much everything across the board for fish species such as bonefish, permit, tarpon, barracudas, jacks, sharks on the flats as well as mutton snapper, red groupers and a few smaller yellowtails in the deeper channels.
