I know it sounds cliche but guests had rod-bending action throughout their entire visit. Take long-time repeat guest Byrd Miller and his … Continue reading "A Very...

OFFSHORE- The weather for the most part overall was not on our side this week and it showed with few reports coming in. Conditions do look good headed into the weekend for the sailfish to bite. Live baits under the kite will be top bait choice for the sailfish. 150-250' of water (depending on water quality and current) is the best depth to target t...

When the calendar flipped to April the fishing improved instantly. March was a bit of a struggle but with the warming water temperature consistently in the sixties the fish are getting acclimated and feeding. I did two trips Monday and we landed 37 total with 9 over 4 pounds. The shallow bite is the dominant pattern now with most of our fish comi...

Yes it is snowing this morning this is my view out the office window as I start my workday. A good old-fashioned snowstorm with maybe 6 inches on the ground so far. The wind howled out of the east last night but has dropped off this morning with only occasional 20 mile per hour gusts. The forecast calls for snow on and off for the next couple of d...

We had some rain yesterday that turned into an inch of snow overnight. The air temp will hit 41 today so the snow will be gone. We didn’t get the crazy heavy rains that hit south of us but we got enough to bring the rivers up. We’re still at decent levels for boating but …

The weather forecasts indicate that we could get quite a bit of rain this weekend. Depending on how much rain we get the rivers and creeks may well have a lot of rain water runoff and could be quite fresh. If that happens it would be best to fish the lower reaches where the salt… Continue reading 4 April 2024 The post 4 April 2024 appeared first o...
