I wrapped my week up yesterday fishing with Glenn and Patti Langford. We met up at Old Town Bait and made our way over to the outside of Tyger to fish floats and live shrimp on a tide that had been going out for about an hour. As it's been all week it was a beautiful day and as we eased up to some flooded grass we could see all kinds of bait acti...

Snook on the outside means the migration has begun. The big females are running the shorelines and beaches. Being a Marco Island Fishing Guide I see the change in the habits. The females are just starting to begin their spawn. The smaller snook are the males and you will see them following the females in […] The post Snook On The Outside appeared...

Here is one of five schoolies landed this week. The spring run of stripers has bee a trickle of fish thus far.  I fished long and hard for 5 days in a row this week.  I came away with exactly 5 fish all under slots and mostly small. I would call the beginning spring striper run more of a trickle rather than a run. Doesn't matter where you fish.  T...

Water temps are in the 70s and everything in the lake is spawning. It's fun out there right now but it can also be challenging. I did 4 guide trips this week and we have caught them from 18 inches to 18 feet. We are catching about 25 a day and the average size is excellent for April. The easiest way to get bit is plastics up shallow but the b...

The White River is in an interesting phase right now. Overall water is still hovering in that 40 megawatts range.
