Underwater Cypress Forest Hole

https://fishingstatus.com/fishing/details/indexId/860855

This underwater cypress forest is estimated to be 52,000 years old. They were buried in sediment, but were likely uncovered by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The stumps of the cypress trees span an area estimated at 0.5 square miles (1.3 kilometers), approximately 10 miles off the beach, and sit about 60 feet (18 meters) below the surface of the Gulf of Mexico. The forest had become an artificial reef, attracting fish, crustaceans, sea anemones and other underwater life burrowing between the roots of the cypress stumps. The location of this spot is centered on the hole in the sonar image. Actual stumps should be on the banks in this area.

Witches Ditch

https://fishingstatus.com/fishing/details/indexId/1438022

If you are looking to catch some bass on the lake, the Witches Ditch is a prime spot, and for good reason. It is one of the best Eufaula fishing spots in the area, and a lot of bass are caught here, and a few tournaments have been won with some fat bass from this hole. After entering the shallow mouth of the area, a pumping station can be seen on the left. This area is good for bass. Shad patterns and colors make ideal baits. Work all the grass and lily pads on both sides, as well as the middle. Once you are done fishing in the ditch, move out to the mouth of it and fish upstream to the red channel marker. There is a good ledge along this section, and bass often hold on it waiting to go into the ditch.

Dead Tree Hole

https://fishingstatus.com/fishing/details/indexId/5905

"As told to me by Jimmy "WooWoo" Harker many years ago, "Shack was actually once covered in trees. Then they cut a clearing from one side of the island to the other to carry supplies from one side to the other. If boats had some sort of ballast onboard they would dump it before they got too shallow so they could pull right onto the beach and unload cargo. All that stuff they dumped formed sort of an artificial reef. Fishermen would then use the clearing to line themselves up to the hard bottom and fish around the area. No trees=dead trees, thus the name Dead Tree Hole." - TheHullTruth
