I had return client Bruce Connor on an afternoon 5hr bay/inlet trip - this was more of a multi-species trip. First, we hit the blowfish aka puffer grounds to box 40 nice puffers. We switched gear and hit the inlet area staying on one spot with the MinnKota trolling motor to catch-n-release close to 20 bluefish in the 20-22 inch range. New moon tidal current was Ripping!! The last hour of the trip we worked a small ledge to produce a 5lb and 6lb Fluke which ended up being Bruce's PB. Great September afternoon fishing and CA-wildfire influenced sun!
