INSTRUCTIONS WITHOUT FISHING STATUS APPLE APP

You will need Google Earth, and WinZip installed on your device

Download Google Earth   Download WinZip

For newer iPhones and iPads:

  1. Unzip the files if neccessary and save the KML file to your device.
  2. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Earth app 
  3. Tap Menu  and Projects 
  4. At the top, tap Open.
  5. To add a file directly from your device, tap Import KML File.
  6. Tap the file you want to add.
  7. To return to the map and view the file, tap Back 

For older iPhones and iPads:

  1. Email yourself the file you downloaded.
  2. Open the email attachment with Winzip.
  3. Select the file with the KML extension.
  4. Click the Open It button at the top and select Google Earth option.

Depending on location, it may take a minute or 2 for it to load all the spots.

 

 

 


We have over 400,000 fishing spots in our database. You can only see half of the fishing spots on our Fishing Spots Map. Our hotspots are based on known fishing spots (buoys, reefs, wrecks, ledges, myths, lies, and hearsay from retired captains.
