Shellcracker season is here!!! It only lasts a few weeks and this is the most fun fishing trip there is. I caught 200 big bluegill and shellcracker yesterday and it will get better as the water warms. Every client I take loves it and wants to go again. The bass fishing is phenomenal. It took 31 lbs to win at goosepond Saturday and those weights will be par for the course throughout the summer. The bass are shallow and on beds as well as on the river channel and anywhere in between. A super spook and 6xd have been great baits for us this week. The crappie are in the brushpiles and on stumps in 10-15 feet and my guides are limiting easily.
