I have downloaded the numbers for the panama city florida area and put the hwr format on my card. When I put my card in the gps it says loading charts for about 2 seconds then never shows anything. Any suggestions?

UPDATED HUMMINBIRD INSTRUCTION HERE: http://fishingstatus.com/places/maps/instructions/humminbird

UPDATE

We now include a native Humminbird file with the extension .hwr in the downloads. Add this file to your SD card and you can import directly to your unit.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You will need to download and install HumminbirdPC on your computer. To get the HumminbirdPC program you will need to register your unit on the Humminbird web site. You should then be able to download HumminbirdPC to your computer. HumminbirdPC can convert the GPX GPS Exchange Format (*.gpx) file format all into our (Humminbird) format. Once transfered into the application, you should be able to save them to SD card and plug it into your unit.
You can also convert the GPX or KML file provided in the download to a Humminbird file format (*.hwr) using GPSBabel. It is free, and easy to use.
Another option would be to use the GPS Visualizer website to convert either the GPX or KML file to HWR.
