We enjoyed another nice day of yellowfin tuna fishing. We also tagged some bluefin tuna yellowtail and dorado. It was breezy in the morning but laid down nicely by the afternoon.

We enjoyed a good day of yellowfin tuna fishing. The fish weighed anywhere from 25-40 pounds. We also caught some yellowtail dorado and pargo. We’re sitting tight and hoping we can do it again tomorrow.

We spent the day traveling down in nice weather. After a tackle seminar in the morning everyone spent the rest of the day getting rigged up. We stopped briefly in the afternoon and caught some yellowtail which we sent into the galley for a future meal and then kept rolling down.

We departed yesterday morning on our annual Shimano sponsored 10 day trip. We spent the afternoon traveling south in nice weather. Our Shimano rep for the trip Joh Kuch brought out plenty of great gear for our passengers to use. Including some of G Loomis’s new IMX Pro rods and Shimano’s new talica reels.

Once again it’s been a great annual Charkbait Six-Day! Everybody caught plenty of fish and made some lifetime memories. We will be in the bay tied up to the dock by 05:30 at Fisherman’s landing.

Today was a great way to start wrapping up the trip. We anchored up around 01:30 and had slow yellowtail fishing until day break. Just after breakfast they started too bite a lot better. Today was another excellent day of fishing! We got into an area with an abundance of life and had great limit style Yellowtail fishing. Tomorrow we will be in a new area trying for more inshore game fish.

Today was an epic start to the Charkbait Six-Day! We got into the area just after breakfast. We pushed the anchor over and immediately we were bit. Been a nice smooth ride down for the Charkbait Six Day! We had a tackle seminar first thing in the morning and spent the day getting everybody dialed and ready for the fishing too come. We will be fishing first thing tomorrow morning.

Stopped on our ride up this morning and made several drifts for plenty of assorted rockfish and lingcod! Once we finished fishing we continued rolling up for home. It’s a beautiful day with calm seas. Tomorrow will be a 05:30 Eta at Fisherman’s Landing.

We got into a new area along the coast just before lunch. We ended up making several long drifts with slow steady picking. Almost everybody had a shot at a nice yellowtail. Tomorrow we will be at a new location trying once again.

We were able to piece together a decent day of yellowtail fishing. It was never wide open but we were able to scratch away all day long. The fish weighed 8-14 pounds with the occasional standout.

We enjoyed a nice day of wahoo fishing at the rocks. It was steady striking in the morning and then slowed down a little in the afternoon. We were almost able to get everyone a wahoo. We will be in on the ridge tomorrow trying for yellowfin.
