It's going to be a wet week ahead but that's expected as summer patterns have officially set in. Meanwhile the sargassum seaweed situation has improved in the surf and inlets in addition to the water quality. Conditions shouldn't be too much a factor in determining what kind of fishing you want to do this week -- opportunities abound! The post Wee...

OFFSHORE- A little tough again this week offshore. Dolphin reports have all but dried up. A few scattered dolphin out way deep but nothing consistent to speak of. A few Blackfin Tuna in 250-350' of water but that has also slowed way down. In along the 120' ledge the bonita are beginning to show up in better numbers. Not huge numbers of kingfish alo...

The inshore water conditions should generally be an improvement from the week prior but the sargassum churning in the surf still looks pretty dicy for those eager to fish the beach. We sought advice on the subject from our "go-to" local surf fishing guide and contributor Capt. Lukas Brickweg but the jerk was too busy loading his cooler with giant...

Snapper fishing offshore continues to be the best bet with very good catches in the 60′ to 75′ range. Scattered Dolphin have also been active in the 90′ to 120′ range. The beaches have still been weedy but the pending west winds will likely clear some of that out giving surf anglers a chance to… The post 6-7-2023 appeared first on White’s Tackle.

Sargassum seaweed remains thick along Central Florida's coast presenting a pretty compelling deterrent for anglers interested in fishing the surf off the beach and inlets. Hopefully conditions clear up as the week progresses but let's be honest it doesn't require environmental studies or extensive data analysis to reasonably conclude that the sarg...

OFFSHORE- Dolphin fishing has been very good over the past week. No hot depth; as reports have bounced around from 200-800' of water throughout the week. Trolling bonita strips and squid remains a good bet for the dolphin. Look for weedlines current rips or floating debris for the best chance at the dolphin. The blackfin tuna bite slowed a bit this...

Offshore Fishing Report  May was definitely our best month of the year for anglers heading out of our inlet both on the surface and on the bottom. We’ve seen a lot of Mahi caught ranging in depths of 65’ all the way out to 900’ by anglers trolling kite fishing and drifting live baits. Kite […] The post June 2023 Fishing Report – Stuart FL appeared...

Dolphin fishing has been the best bet of late with good catches happening in the 150′ range. The seaweed has formed some bigger patches in areas and the Dolphin have taken advantage of the cover. Current rips have also been productive. The surf has unfortunately been unfishable due to the seaweed and somewhat rougher conditions … The post 5-31-23...

OFFSHORE- Looks like a fairly large swell builds in as we head into Memorial Day Weekend. At the time of writing the weather forecast doesn’t show a lot of wind on it; so hopefully it is just a rolling swell and remains fishable. Fishing overall this week remained pretty good. A few scattered dolphin around with most of them coming from out a littl...

Offshore anglers have been enjoying plenty of good fishing and hopefully the impending weather won’t mess that up much. Mangrove Snapper have been very active in the 60′ to 80′ range. mostly on live bait. Kingfish have also been prevalent in the same depth range. Snook fishing in the inlets has been good and there’s… The post 5-24-23 appeared firs...

Unfortunately this year's big raffle prize winners for the Central Florida Shootout were not any of the ticket giveaway recipients from Spacefish. OFFSHORE- Fishing remains very good offshore right now. Dolphin reports are a bit spotty but those putting in the time do continue to find some decent numbers. Best depth on the dolphin has been about 400-600'; but that has bounced around daily depending on conditions. Trolling bonita strips and squid remains a solid choice for the dolphin. The bla...
