Hello all this past weekends group charter wanted to get back early on Palm Sunday so we changed up the departure time and got underway at noon instead of 10pm. This would change up the trips timing for night fishing as it really only gives us 1 full night and a few hours on night two. If the fish were gonna make us work hard to fill the boxes havi...

Hello all Captain Rich here we were a couple fishermen overbooked this trip due to a bunch of weather cancellations this winter so I was a bit concerned about tangles being a problem. We departed pretty close to our scheduled time of 9am BTW we have bumped up the departure time to 9am from noon mostly because of the parking issues here in Tarpon Sp...

Saturday & Sunday’s half day trips were similar as far as the fishing went. On day one the weather was sunny the majority of the time and they were fishing in about 40 feet of water. The catch was pretty good lots of grunts and a shortie Red Grouper were caught. A baby shark was also biting on Saturday and was safely released.   Sunday’s scene was...

This was another overcast one today. The winds were blowing about 15 knots in the beginning part of the trip but it turned slick calm on the way home. The depths of water were right around thirty feet.   The anchor course was all over the place and the fishing came to a halt at one point. Not the best day of fishing.   But in spite of all this our...

Now that it’s been about 4 weeks since the arctic cold fronts in clearwater FL area. Redfish have finally started to feed. With extreme low water the Reds have been tailing in potholes where the water is a few inches deeper. Live bait or soft plastic shrimp in dark colors have worked the best. The […] The post Back to normal first appeared on Skin...

Spotted sea trout are starting to push into the clearwater to St. Joseph Sound region. Mild temperatures have delayed their full migration as it has in years past. Typically multiple cold fronts that keep the water temperatures lower will usher in more of the larger female trout. However there are a few small schools beginning to congregate. […] T...
