to say the least we’ve been having some fun w the reds. Jacks and tarpon are soon to be on as well. When the ocean is flat we’ve also been finding the albies. You have to love the drag scream of hooking up w albies. The chase can be pretty fun as well.

we’ve had a great time chasing reds in the grass. With tides not predicted to be good for flooding the marsh nice to see the actual tides vs predicted tides. 7 ft tides turned into 8.5. There are some jacks starting to show up but this far I’ve seen more boats than fish. Clovis are … Continue reading fly fishing savannah

Reds are doing their thing and it shouldn’t be long until the tarpon are banging baits around town. The wright river rice canals continue to be the hot spot for red fish. … Continue reading Fly fishing Savannah Hilton Head and...

fy fishing savannah There are times when the weather just isn’t conducive to site ast w fly rod but it can be an excellent time for a spin rod and a jerk bait. Not just about fly fishing. Just no bait. Due to the fact you never learn to fish if you bait fish.

We have been having too much fun as of late. In between fronts pushing thru the fly fishing around Savannah has been really good. Water is still pretty clear with temps still on the cool side making for great sight casting at low tide Should start seeing some albies to stir things up a bit.

if you’re looking to catch redfish and a bunch of them you need to look no further than the rice canals of the upper right river and one X mark the spot or two great starting points to catch fish

it certainly has not been the best weather this winter but when the temps and wind are tolerable the fishing has been good. Hopefully we’ll be out of this weather pattern after this week.
