The Grand River flow is now 629 and starting to look really good. If we can dodge this next system of rain/snow tomorrow we should have some of the best fishing so far of the season. Chagrin has some ice this morning but should open up  later today.  Starting to see alot of suckers in the rivers so egg patterns spawn sac's and trout beads will work...

The last 2 days we have seen several nice catches from The Chagrin including another 14lb + fish. The flow on the Grand is 750 and we are starting to see a few fish caught. The next couple of days should prove to be excellent if we don't get to much ice. Things should start to heat up from this point on.

We are starting to see some open fishable water in all the northeast Ohio streams. Warmer temps today should open things up without bringing the flows up too much. The few fish caught the last couple of days have been on egg sacs minnows and trout beads. The spring run fish are showing up lets hope for some decent weather.

starting to see a few fish caught in the grand this morning and with the flow continuing down Saturday and Sunday will be the days to fish it. Yesterday a number of decent catches in the Chagrin but today the reports have been pretty slow. Eggs and egg sacs have been the most productive fished on the bottom although I have had guys pick up fish in...

Another 14lb plus fish out of the Grand River yesterday along with several other nice size fish. No huge numbers of steelhead caught this week but certainly several quality fish. The flow in the Grand will probably go up from its current level of 650 over the next few days but water visabilty may keep it fishable. Depends on the amount of rain. Sta...

With the Grand River below 800 on the flow we should see some decent catches this weekend. We've had some slush in parts of the river but fish were caught today in several of the open areas. I still have not heard much about the Harpersfield dam area but there has to be a number of fish that far up. All the rivers in NorthEast Ohio have good visabi...

Looks like it will be a while before the northeast Ohio rivers will fish depends on rainfall amounts tomorrow. The Grand River had some spectacular fishing on Sunday and Monday with several large fresh fish including a 16 lb. 15oz steelie by Kieth Madison our tournament leader. The fish are there so the next time we get the flows down give it a try...

Today and tomorrow are the days to fish the Grand River!  Flow at 655 now with decent visability. Rain coming Tuesday. The reports I'm getting indicate a good number of fish moved upstream during this last rain.. Don't miss this chance. Conditions like this don't happen that often. Conneaut should be excellent today. Chagrin is low and clear but st...

The next few days are starting to shape up nicely. New fish are up in the rivers and the flows are coming down to fishable levels today. Except for the Grand maybe Friday! If no rain this weekend the Grand should be the place to be! Decent catches in Arcola and Paine the last 2 days. We have bulk Rio sink tippet  T-11 back in stock.

OK enough rain for a while. Maybe towards the end of the week we will see some great steelheading around these parts! Fishing right now is pretty much restricted to the feeder streams and small creeks flowing into the main rivers and Lake Erie. Dont give up hope for the steelhead season these higher flows are just what we needed. Tell all those wal...

If there is very little rain tonight the Chagrin River will have some excellent fishing on Saturday. Some decent numbers today with most fish caught in the faster water on egg sacs. Grand River is still a couple days away with no rain. Only had a couple of reports on the feeder creeks today but the fish should be in this clearer water. Try Big Cree...

There's been a good number of steelhead in the lower sections of the Grand River (Grand River Landing to the mouth of the river. Yesterdays rain should be just what we needed to move fish upstream. All the rivers in Northeast Ohio should see much improved fishing over the next few days. As the flow in the Grand goes below 800 it will definitely be...

The shoreline is finally clearing up after the storm. Several nice steelhead were caught yesterday off the lighthouse breakwall as well as the Fairport pier. Water clarity is good and more fish will move back to the shoreline now and then hopefully up into the rivers. Rain later this week will improve chances of getting more fish into the rivers fo...

Well we all wanted rain to bring the steelhead up the rivers. Just not quite that much. The Grand was at 20 000 and the flow now is 4300 so a few more days and we should have some great fishing. The feeder creeks now have a number of fish in them and water levels are getting fishable. Chagrin River flow is 850 and should be fishable in a day or so....
