Yes it rained again just before the weekend!  But the river flows did not go up very much. The Grand is at 1250 now and headed down. The Chagrin is 932 and headed down. The fishing should improve all weekend. Today try the feeder creeks and by Saturday afternoon the main rivers will be very fishable. A few walleye have been caught on the Fairport p...

Things are starting to pick back up. Chagrin flow at 325 just about perfect. The Grand has a way to go hopefully the rain misses us thursday. Had good reports from Conneaut and the Ashtabula river. The feeder creeks have produced fresh fish all week not big numbers but nice size. A few walleye have been caught off the Fairport Harbor Pier. Spring i...

Still catching decent numbers of fish this week. If we have no more rain it should be a good weekend to try. Top baits are egg sacs and jig and maggott. Chagrin river is clearing up nice and we have had several reports of fish on sucker spawn and white hackleflash beadheads.

A few fish caught in Arcola yesterday and Paine creek should be worth a try today. No reports from the Chagrin but as the flows goes below 400 things should start picking up. If little or no rain tonight and tomorrow morning the Grand may be looking good for Friday/Saturday. Lets hope!

A few fish taken the last couple of days if you can find open water. There are some stretches that are fishable but by this time tomorrow with the rain and snow melt the Grand will be rising quickly. Had a few fish caught in the Chagrin river this morning quite a ways upstream. Not as much snow around Eastlake and further south so Chagrin should no...

The flows on the rivers went up overnight with the snow melt. Grand is 1290 and Chagrin is 835. Both have started back down and fishing should pick back up Sunday. Arcola creek may be worth a try today as well as the feeder creeks to the Grand.

The next few days should offer some fantastic fishing opportunities. A little bit of snow melt will provide near perfect river levels. Definitely try the Grand this weekend we haven't had conditions this good very often this year. Egg sac's still have been working well also trout beads in the clearer water have been producing. Slow the presentation...
