In the Nassau County Dee Dee Bartels is dangerous to use when there is a west wind and hazardous to your boat anytime you la...

Pretty darn good Spring fly fishing on the Truckee River. If you’re after numbers wait until Summer actually go fish the Lower Sac but if you like big fish this is the time. Nice Spring weather too. Sunshine and big puffy Simpson clouds. We got right around 1000 cfs here in Hirschdale. Actually it’s around […] The post Truckee River Fly Fishing Re...

We had a few showers overnight but they amounted to nothing and the river flows are slightly lower than yesterday morning. Water temps are starting off a little warmer due to the warmer air temps. Today looks very similar to yesterday with even warmer air temps. Overall the rivers have been fishing very well with …

Big Hole River Fishing Report 4-28-24 The Big Hole River has had its first bit of run-off start its spring roller coaster of flows and visibility. Watch the flows at USGS Real-Time River flows before you go. Hook up the boat and hit it when the flows stabilize and visibility improves to 2 feet or better. Weiss is fishing really good at the moment. Both spots and largemouth are feeding agressively. The spotted bass can be found on gravel bars in 5 feet and a Carolina rig or 3/8 oz jig are getting the job done. Largemouth are up shallow in the water willow and near rock structure. Flipping and pitching a creature bait is a great way to catch them a...

Wow what an afternoon today! Left the dock at 12pm with Mark Freeman and we caught 22 fish and returned to dock at 2:30pm all on live bunker. The guys were relatively new to live lining but did great with the circle hooks after a small learning curve. Great two trips today and looking forward to the bunker getting tighter together soon!
