We are back to low-flow releases here on Lake Taneycomo after a few weeks of a higher release rate which has brightened the fishing prospects for boaters and waders alike.  Area lakes rose almost four feet after a series of rain events caused releases from all four dams in the White River chain.  We saw […] The post January 23 fishing report appea...

What a fun day to spend my birthday with my good friend Hunter as we fished one of my favorite places the Rainbow River. I love that crystal clear water and we did very well. We totaled over 20 bass for the day - no giants but several couple pounders on a variety of lures. From whacky worms to top water pugs; all produced very well. A great dat bu...

Ice on the boat this morning folks and yes it was a cold one. I had Jeff and Helen on board for a 1/2 day trip and we found a few. The bite was slow as the gulf is still in the mid 50's but we found enough sheepshead for a meal or two. Live shrimp on a light 1/8thoz jig head did the trick and I thank you both.... Capt. Dan

What a gorgeous day to go offshore and Mark and Craig had an awesome trip. I pushed on out to 40ft of water today and the snapper bite was great. The team secured a beautiful limit of keeper mangos plus some hefty sheepshead as well. We used close to 300 shrimp and it was a busy day of catching. I thank you both and terrific job... Capt. Dan

A different change of pace from what I've been doing and it was fun to stay inside and find some trout. Paul and Gary were my team and we did well after just a little bit of a slow start. I haven't been inshore at all so it took me a bit to find the pattern. Soon enough though we were on them. Just using DOA glow jerk baits in the creeks did their...

DAY ONE Monday we had Bart, Steve, and Mark as we headed out after some more of these winter Delacroix redfish. Cooler water temps kept the bite slow at first, but when we found them, they made it count, boating their limit in the early afternoon. DAY TWO Tuesday was day two for Bart, Steve, and Mark as we headed out after some more of thes...

www.masterbaiters.com.mx Well folks the cold snap continues and frankly we’re in the middle of a transition period. The warm water species have left except for Yellowfin tuna. The water at Corbetena is dirty as is most of the fishing grounds around the area. Whale food aka plankton is so massive in the area it’s turned into a fish smorgasbord! Yes...

My good friend Joel called the shop today to let me know I was full of “BS” and that there were Tuna hitting baits like Poppers and Goggle eyes at Corbetena. Well I had to laugh because I publish articles on the web...
