It normally sits around the early 20s and you can fish it up to around 60 cumecs – in January 2018 it got up to 700. Having no... Read More The post Taupo Fly Fishing Report 7...

The rain got us today but we had some fun before we got wet. I had the Weeks family on board and they had a ball. We started the trip putting a couple nice trout on ice and quality fish as well. I knew we didn't have a bunch of time before the weather hit us so there was enough tide to run inshore and let the team all catch there first snook. The...

It's almost BLACK SEA BASS SEASON in Virginia. The season opens May 15 and while I have some dates booked I still have a few dates available. Spring black sea bass season is one of my favorite times of the year because our charter season gets kicked off with the opening of black sea bass. In Virginia in 2021 each angler will be allowed 15 fish at...

Our home and office are in an area where ravens have nested since we moved here 23 years ago. Not crows but ravens. They are larger and much more talkative with quite a vocabulary. In the spring we hear them talking between themselves with various croaks and calls. We had dinner on the deck last Sunday and saw them chasing two separate eagles with...

The river flows are up after the additional rain yesterday morning.  The East Branch West Branch and Mainstem have zero wade opportunities today.  We are floating without any issues and even landed fish yesterday afternoon.  The Beaverkill flow at Cooks Falls has already dropped back to 1 520 cfs this morning so wade opportunities will […]

Well it worked out really well and we had a limit by 11am using Lil' Johns. I did make a stop inshore and Rena caught her first snook but just not enough tide movement to get the red fish goin...
