Hooking Up Anglers Since 2011.
Miami may be known for its night life, but it is also known for its fantastic fishing. Home of the Miami International Boat Show, the boating and fishing community is strong in this area. With quick access to the Everglades, Biscayne Bay, thousands of reefs, and the warm waters of the Gulf Stream, Miami provides excellent fishing year round.
Fishing offshore of Miami will produce great catches of Bonito, Kingfish, Mahi-mahi (dolphinfish), and Wahoo, but the highlight is the Sailfish run during the fall and winter. Multiple hookups are common, and live pilchards are the preferred bait.
The Miami bottom fishing scene is filled with big Amberjack, Grouper, and Snapper. With thousands of reefs close to shore, you won’t have any problem finding a place to drop a line.
Many different inshore species such as Cobia, Pompano, Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, Snook, and Tarpon can be found around Miami. Tarpon are around all year, but the larger ones are caught from February through June. Snook are most commonly caught from September to December. Often overlooked, fishing the Everglades can be productive for catching big Largemouth Bass.
