Ocean City, Maryland is the White Marlin Capital of the World, and home to the White Marlin Open fishing tournament. From the bay to the blue water of the Gulf Stream offshore, Ocean City entices many anglers to this fishing destination.

Besides excellent White Marlin fishing during the summer and early fall, offshore fishing Ocean City offers abundant Blue Marlin, Bigeye Tuna, Mahi-mahi, and Yellowfin Tuna. During the colder months schools of Bluefin Tuna move through the area, as well as many different species of sharks, including Blue Sharks, Dusky Sharks, Hammerheads, and Mako Sharks,

Inshore fishing around Ocean City will produce Bluefish, Croaker, Flounder, King Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Striped Bass, and Tautog (Blackfish).
