Offshore: Winds will be North to northeasterly at about 10 knots tending southeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the morning, then increasing to 15 to 20 knots in the early afternoon. Winds increasing to 20 to 25 knots in the evening. Seas below 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres around midday, increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres south of Maroochydore by early evening. Deed End Charters fished the Barwon Banks for hussar, tuskfish, red emperor and red throat sweetlip. Spanish mackerel and grass sweetlip from Coolum reef. Spanish mackerel and snapper from Halls Reef. Yellowfin Tuna, snapper and sweetlip from Sunshine Reef.
Noosa: Flathead are in the deeper channels and holes near the river mouth. Whiting around the frying pan. GT's and queenfish at the car park rocks, in Woods Bay and the odd tailor and golden trevally, along the Current Line. Mangrove jacks throughout the lower river. Mud crabs throughout the river.
Maroochydore: Flathead from the creek mouths. Trevally and heaps of average size bream from around and the Cod Hole and Chambers Island. Whiting and bream in the lower river. Mangrove jack in the creeks and around structures in the system. Mud crabs still throughout the river.
Mooloolaba: Some quality flathead and a few grunter around the Twin Bridges. Whiting and bream from the La Balsa sand basin. Mangrove jack from the bridges and snaggy areas of the river. Mud crabs in the canals and lower river.
Caloundra: Whiting and bream in Currimundi Lake. Flathead, bream and whiting along Golden Beach. Cod and trevally in Pelican waters. Mud crabs throughout the passage and in the creeks.
Jayden and Rob Craven had a good session up the Maroochy River on a Swan Hire boat over the weekend catching bream and flathead.
