Offshore: Strong Wind Warning for Today in Sunshine Coast Waters, with winds southeasterly 20 to 25 knots, reaching up to 30 knots north of Noosa Heads in the evening with seas 2 to 2.5 metres and swells easterly 2 to 2.5 metres. Tomorrow will not be any better with winds and seas increasing to south to southeasterly 20 to 25 knots, reaching up to 30 knots at times and seas 2 to 3 metres. So be prepared to stay and fish in sheltered waters well into next week pending on movement of potential cyclonic activity.
Noosa: Flathead, bream, grunter bream, giant trevally and whiting in the lower river. Mangrove jack and trevally in Noosa Sound and in Woods Bay area. Mud crabs throughout the river.
Maroochydore: Trevally on the dirty water line of the making tide. Mangrove jack, cod and trevally in the creeks and around structures in the system. Mud crabs throughout the river.
Mooloolaba: Whiting, flathead and a few good grunter bream in Mountain creek. Mangrove jack and trevally in Kawana Waters canal. Mud crabs in the canals and lower river.
Caloundra: Whiting and flathead in Currimundi Lake. Flathead and whiting along Golden Beach. Cod and trevally in Pelican waters. Mud crabs throughout the passage and in the creeks.
