Offshore: Strong Wind Warning for Today for Sunshine Coast Waters, with winds southeasterly 20 to 25 knots, reaching up to 30 knots in the evening with seas 2 to 2.5 metres. Tomorrow Friday the 13th will not much better with winds south to southeasterly 20 to 25 knots and seas 2 to 2.5 metres. So be prepared to stay and fish in sheltered waters well into next week pending on movement of a Low Pressure system and potential cyclonic activity.
Noosa: Flathead, bream, grunter bream, giant trevally and whiting in the lower river. Mangrove jack and trevally in Noosa Sound and in Woods Bay area. Mud crabs throughout the river.
Maroochydore: Trevally on the dirty water line of the making tide. Mangrove jack, cod and trevally in the creeks. Mud crabs throughout the river.
Mooloolaba: Whiting, flathead and a few good grunter bream in Mountain creek. Mangrove jack and trevally in Kawana Waters canal. Mud crabs in the canals and lower river.
Caloundra: Whiting and flathead in Currimundi Lake. Flathead and whiting along Golden Beach. Cod and trevally in Pelican waters. Mud crabs throughout the passage and in the creeks.
Before the strong wind warnings and the rough conditions the crews on DIP Fishing Charters were catching some real quality Spanish Mackerel off DIP and the Wide Bay Bar. So be ready to go when conditions improve in the next week or so!
