Fishing Report: March 25th 2022

What a week of fishing in Palm Coast, with great weather has come a great bite. From redfish on the flats to trout under dock lights, lots of fish have been caught on my skiff this week. Most morning we will start out by fishing the shallow flats this time of year, either with bait or topwater plugs, with lots of baitfish around a topwater plug can be a great way to target redfish, snook and trout, and in my opinion one of the most exiting. After the sun comes up and starts warming things up we will target we will target creeks and channel edges, creek holes can be a very productive on an outgoing tide as the fish seek refuge to them when the water gets low. A live shrimp or mud minnow rigged on a 1/4oz jig head will do the trick for a redfish or flounder hiding in a creek hole.

With lots of trout, bluefish and jacks around the edges of the IWC can be a great place to fish for numbers. Creek mouths and sandy holes have had some flounder hanging around a mud minnow on a jighead or a scented artificial has been producing a good flounder bite. Also a few docks have had some black drum holding on them a fish finder rig baited up with fresh dead shrimp or fiddler crabs is a go to for me. For the light tackle or fly anglers looking for some snook action the glass minnows have hatched and the means a feeding frenzy of fish, if you find the glass minnows you'll be sure to find some snook nearby. Fishing has has been great in palm coast to say the least so get on the water with Grand Slam Fishing to catch a memory of your own!
