I did 6 guide trips this week and we landed 220 bass. Rising water, warm stable weather and longer days have the bass biting at Guntersville. We caught them on crankbaits, jerkbaits and plastic. The best depth ranges are 3-9 feet close to spawning areas. As April approaches we will see a shad spawn, bluegill up on the beds and postspawn bass retreating from the spawning bays.
