Located about 2 miles NNW of Cherystone Creek, the Cherrystone Reef consist of the following:
Concrete igloos, stacks of concrete pipe, concrete deck sections from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, and over 2900 Tires In Concrete (TICs) have been scattered on this site. In 2006, 2000 tons of concrete block, donated by Bayshore Concrete Products, Inc., were added. The deployments on this site were paid for with Saltwater Fishing License revenue. A yellow VMRC buoy designated "CS" marks the center of this site.
Cherrystone Reef is a fishing spot. An artificial or natural reef that attracts fish can be found here. This spot is known to contain ledges and/or rocks that attract fish.
