Tilghman Island

The Tilghman Island Reef is located on an 84 acre site off the western edge of Tilghman Island. Water depth is 20' - 25', and the bottom type is sand, and sand with cultch. Reef material includes bridge decking, rubble, granite, concrete pipe, and an old ferry boat wreck. Typical fish species in this area include striped bass, bluefish, and assortment of bottom species. Erik Zlokovitz of MDDNR observed Spanish mackerel surfacing off the edge of this reef while chumming for striped bass during Centerpoints: 38°41.51 076°22.65
