Offshore: Great conditions today as winds will be variable about 10 knots becoming north to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon, easing to about 10 knots in the evening with seas below 1 metre. Long tail tuna and Spanish Mackerel off DIP. Long tail tuna out from Sunshine Beach and Halls Reef. The Barwon Banks has had hussar, tuskfish, red emperor and red throat sweetlip. Spanish mackerel, tuna and grass sweetlip from Coolum reef.
Noosa: Flathead are in the deeper channels and holes near the river mouth and along the Tewantin stretch. Whiting around the frying pan. GT's and queenfish at the car park rocks, in Woods Bay and the odd tailor and golden trevally. Mangrove jacks throughout the lower river. Mud crabs throughout the river.
Maroochydore: Plenty of Big eye, Giant and golden trevally along with school jew, grunter bream, flathead,bream and cod between the motorway bridge and Chambers Island. Whiting from Black Banks. Mangrove jack and trevally in Twin Waters Canal and in the creeks. Mud crabs still throughout the river.
Mooloolaba: Some quality flathead and a few grunter around the Twin Bridges. Whiting and bream from the La Balsa sand basin. Mangrove jack from the bridges and snaggy areas of the river. Mud crabs in the canals and lower river.
Caloundra: Flathead, bream and whiting along Golden Beach. Cod and trevally in Pelican waters. Mangrove jack, grunter and flathead in Coochin Creek. Mud crabs throughout the passage.
