ntercostal to try and find cover from the 19mph winds. Ended up finding a sweet little spot to wade in Chinquapin but couldn't really enjoy it due to the fact that my family has reported seeing many large gators. Waited for the wind to die down in the afternoon to head back out. Found an awesome little back lake by our Cove on the south shoreline, the only issue was getting to it. A small skiff or kayak would have had no problem, but somehow we managed to get the JH B210 through those wicked turns and to the lake. Sadly after all that hard work we got chased out by what looked like a bad wildfire that spread across the south shoreline. Not our best day on the water but a bad day on the water is better than a good day at work right? And I got to use my new rod(cast away skeleton) and reel (shimano citica 200e) so I headed back to ol San Antonio a happy camper. Hopefully in the next two weeks we will find out if that back lake is a honey hole or bust!
