The morning started off with a scattered black fin bite. A little later we found some bonita busting on top. After making a couple of passes we hooked up on a couple more black fin. When we got them close to the boat there were several more following behind them and they started to pound our two teasers. We kept dropping our four closest baits back beside them and managed to bring 12 in. It was like bailing dolphin! Things started to slow down a bit until I looked back and a huge hole opened up on the long rigger. I couldn’t tell exactly what it was but I knew it was going to be big. After a 2 hours and 15 minute fight angler Tom Ginty finally got it up to the boat. It was a beautiful big eye tuna weighing in at 201 pounds.
