Guntersville FIshing Charter June 15th Neely Henry bass fishing report
Beautiful Neely Henry lake is fishing great at the moment. I did 2 guide trips down there this week and we landed 90 bass total. We were fortunate to put a healthy 7 pounder in the boat yesterday. Neely is only 11,000 acres but it's 70 miles long and fishes bigger and better than it's surface area would indicate. The best fishing at this time is upriver from Hokes bluff to the Weiss dam. Our best baits have been topwater walking baits early then crankbaits and spinnerbaits in the lay downs on the shady banks as the day progresses. If you are interested in fishing with a USCG licensed captain call 256-744-5185.

The new moon, longer days and warming water are secondary factors pushing bass up into the bedding areas. The primary factor is the number of days since they spawned last year. There are tons of small fish up shallow and some big ones. Most of the...

With drought conditions lingering over the southeastern United states the recent rains are a welcomed sight. Guntersville lake fishes much better when water is moving through the system and there is some color in the water. I expect excellent fishi...

Record setting high temps and a full moon that is now waning have the bass moving at Guntersville. I have guided everyday this week and the end result has been huge 5 fish stringers but getting to that result has been challenging. I have fished dee...
