We returned this morning from another awesome 8-day trip. We successfully landed limits of yellowfin tuna and yellowtail. We also managed to reel in some nice bluefin tuna grouper and pargo. Special thanks to John Collins for sponsoring the trip and to an enthusiastic group of passengers who made every moment memorable.

We had an awesome first day of fishing. The yellowfin tuna bit all day and the grade of fish was excellent. Most of the fish weighed 16 to 25 pounds with a decent amount of 40 to 60 pounders mixed in. Fly line was working best but they were also hitting the skip jig full…

Shortly after breakfast Jonathan gathered everyone in the galley and gave a tackle seminar where he let everyone know how to be rigged up for the fishing to come. After that the crew spent the rest of the day getting people rigged up. Our weather is beautiful and we are all looking forward to the…

The fish were definitely in a more cooperative mood this evening. We were able to capitalize on that and put together a nice evening on mainly 100 to 150 pound fish with a few 40-50 pounders in the mix. TEAM RP

We saw some fish last night but it was tough to work with. We had a couple stops where we were able to scratch up some fish. We are hoping for more cooperative fish today and this evening.

We had some good shots as soon as it got dark on beautiful grade bluefin but the bite window didn’t last as long as the previous nights. Our weather is beautiful and the Eddie bomb continues to be the ticket. Ella also picked up her new personal best last night. TEAM RP

We enjoyed an epic night of bluefin tuna fishing. We stopped on good schools all day long and only managed a few fish from 120-150 pounds. Once it got dark it was game on until a little before sun up. The fish weighed 100 to 180 pounds and bit the 300 gram knife jigs and…

Jonathan is the BEST!after many days of nagging pranking and obnoxious beahvior the end is near and I can’t wait to get to cabo. He is the definition of juvenile and sophmoric behavior truly qualities I appreciate Not! He reminds me of more intelligent better-looking non-balding version of myself and I will miss him immensely…

Our last morning was one to remember for one angler. We were woken up early to catch bait and got lucky to catch 50-ish tubes at the cost of 3-4 yozuris per bait. It’s a good thing we put in the effort because that’s exactly what the tuna wanted. We rolled up to a bird…
