Had a decent morning but then couldn’t put any kind of afternoon together. Hooked a nicer fish and had a few kite attempts but couldn’t get anything to the boat late. Tomorrow will be our last morning then we need to start headed up. TEAM RP

Decent action but landing them was tough. Hoping the wind comes down so we can drift at a reasonable speed and not have to anchor. Hopefully land more fish. TEAM RP

We had the same lack of conditions as yesterday and got off to a slow start but ended up putting a nice day together courtesy of a sun down sizzler. We ended up catching 32 tuna and 24 wahoo for the day. The live bait wires continue to work well and have pretty much accounted…

We spent the day traveling south in cool breezy weather. We are glad to be headed down because going up would be pretty choppy. After breakfast Jonathan gave a tuna fishing seminar where he discussed what type of set ups to have ready how to fish the different set ups and when what kite leaders…

Shortly after breakfast Jonathan gave a wahoo fishing seminar and then the passengers and crew got to work wiring up lures and putting gear together. Our weather has been a bit chilly but hopefully it starts warming up as we get further south. TEAM RP

Most of our group pre loaded the afternoon of the 18th and we departed yesterday morning on our annual Jerry Brown Line One 18 passenger/18 day trip. After departing the landing we stopped by the bait barge and picked up a decent load of bait. Once we cleared the point Jonathan gave a safety seminar…

We finished the trip off with the first bluefin of 2025. The fish weighed 40-120 pounds and bit fly line sardines and sinker rigs. We also had good action on 20-40 pound yellowfin tuna which we released. We are now full and headed home in beautiful weather. TEAM RP

We had another fun morning of Yellowfin Tuna fishing! All in all we have had great off shore fishing but it’s now time to start working our way back up the coast. We will have time to fish the beach for a little bit of variety tomorrow. TEAM RP

We started off first thing in the morning with great Yellowtail fishing! Everybody tagged what they wanted on Yellows. After that we went into tuna mode and had a very steady bite on quality Yellowfin. We will be hoping for the same tuna sign tomorrow morning. TEAM RP
