So we left the dock this time on a 2 day golden grounds trip with 12 lucky anglers. Trip left at noon and we made our way SW towards the elbow to do some nighttime fishing targeting various snappers and groupers. Overall the weather was nice but the boat still wanted to swing. Even with this though we still managed a steady pick at fish throughout...

Well we finally got to go out on another 4 day mutton trip after the last 2 had to be canceled due to bad weather. We left the dock and made our way south. The next day around 10am Jerry decided to break up the ride and stop to fish a wreck. The guys got to have some fun pulling on some big amberjacks! It was man vs sea monster and unfortunately mo...

Well y’all we just had another amazing trip. We started off leaving the dock on Thursday with a little bit of weather behind us but knew once we got a few hours south that the wind and seas were gonna lay off. We made our way SW to the fishing grounds and started fishing at sunrise. We started off the trip in the 500-600′ range targeting different...

Great action for today's morning trip with the Platz team. I fish this great family every year around this time and we've been going strong for about 10yrs now. Josh Piper and Rick were my team today and they turned some nice ones. No break offs pulled hooks etc... they were 100% on their game. We fished in the 10ft to 12ft range and all the gags...

So let’s start off with what made this trip pretty awesome. The weather on the first day and night as we rode out to the grounds was bumpy and rocky but in the middle of that first night the weather laid off and we ended up having beautiful weather for the entire rest of the trip. We started out fishing Friday in the 500-600′ range with great succe...

A nice day out of Crystal River with Chuck and Tim and these guys had a fine day. We pulled our bait traps and went to grouper digging. The gags were biting pretty darn good and we had a couple even get the best of us by taking us in the rocks. Chuck and Tim soon enough turned four nice ones and just around noon we called it a day. Great job and I...

Another great morning trip with Larry and Todd on board and it was pretty much just like yesterdays trip. Some fast grouper action kept us busy and by 10am the guys had their limit of good ones. We totaled probably 25 grouper for the morning and beat the heat being back at the dock before noon. Awesome morning and I thank you... Capt. Dan

So we managed to get off the dock and tackle this 7-day trip. With tropical storm Fred still lingering in the northern gulf but about to make landfall we made the decision that it was time to leave the dock and start making our way out. For the first 2 days of the trip we made our way in the SW direction looking for the loop current trying to find...

A great trip with Sabrina and Eric and this was Eric's birthday present to catch some Crystal River grouper. Well I didn't disappoint him and the team turned some really nice gags. Before 10am they secured a fine limit and we called it a day to beat the storms and heat. You both did awesome and happy birthday Eric.... Capt. Dan

A hot grouper bite for the Millennium Metals team from the East coast and they sure did well. The bait traps were loaded today and we had an awesome trip. Nothing to fancy just dropping live pin fish on some ledges and "wham" grouper on. The guys turned all their fish and six fine gags came on board. Great job and I thank you all... Capt. Dan

We had a good trip caught four really nice grouper and had a couple get the best of us. Dropping live baits on the ledges did the trick and we wrapped it up around noon. With the oppressive heat right now I'm just...

Well we made it through yet another red snapper season! The weather on this trip was very good. We had a little more wind than the average trip recently but it wasn’t a bad wind. Still had bright sunny skies throughout the day which made for a nice trip. Once again we were able to locate and land our full limit of red snappers and they were all nic...

We've been going out there now for 12 years and this trip we even did some more exploring. Some of the new streams paid off great and some not so much but they will definitely produce in the future when they h...
