The lakes are low causing most piles to be to shallow this summer but with the cooler water temps they are starting to produce more and more fish with the quality of the fish improving greatly.

It’s been a little bit of a roller coaster ride the last couple of weeks but we have had more good days than tough days. Most days the difference in having a good day versus a bad day is one or two schools of fish. On the good days we are finding at least one […] The post Lake Fork Fishing Report – August 7 2013 appeared first on Lake Fork Guide J...

It’s been a good week for us here on Lake Fork with several fish over 6 pounds caught by my clients and me. We are still finding most of our fish in deeper water and 18-21 feet seems to be the best depth for me. As far as baits and presentations go a drop shot... Happy Independence Day everyone! The fishing on Lake Fork has been very good in my boat the last few days. We have had a couple of slow days after this cold front where we had a hard time locating a school of fish that wanted to bite but that’s not totally unusual for this time... It’s been a good while since I’ve posted or sent out a fishing report. I planned on posting regular reports in this section but things have been so busy this year that I just haven’t gotten around to it. It’s been a very busy 2013 thus far. Eagle Mountain Lake Spring Blue Catfish Wrap Up...

We just wrapped up an incredible month of fishing here on Lake Fork. The topwater bite continues to be good early in the morning and all day when we have cloud cover. A Super Spook and a Yellow Magic are both great choices. I am still catching the majority of my fish on a Carolina... [Continue Reading] The post May 30 2013 – Lake Fork Fishing Repo...

Despite this crazy weather we are having and unseasonably warm temperatures the catfish are biting. Water temperature is still a lot warmer than I would like it to be for the big blue catfish but we are catching excellent numbers of fish in the mid to high teens and have caught numerous fish in the...

Grapevine fishing has been so good this summer. As of Sept 20th I have caught 24 limits in a row of 50 to 75 fish depending of the number of customers in the boat. Some days the total has been over the 100 mark. The lake should keep it up for some time as they feed up for the winter.....

I have been going to Grapevine with good results on numbers and the same with Lewisville but this lake has been putting out some real big black crappie. Standing timber and brush piles are the trick. Jig fishing with Lake Fork Baby Shads in about any color will work.

It seems this year has had the best bite I can remember. The fishing has been super with lots of 100+ fish days. The bite has been light and seem to want it on the rise and I mean very very slow when you lift your jig. Good luck

This years fishing has just gotten better and better. Fishing on Lake Lewisville has had the best large black crappie around with great numbers but the bite has been hit or miss. Lake Grapevine on the other hand has been limit after limit for months. Over all size is down but the numbers are unreal and consistent. No sign of them slowing down anyt...
