It is extremely hot out there. The water temp is 89 degrees. Guntersville is one of the most fished lakes in the world however the heat has decreased fishing pressure greatly. Guntersville is unique in that they bite better the hotter it gets and the colder it gets. A lot of factors play into that but decreased fishing pressure is a big one. This week we had probably our best day of the year with 60 bass landed and a best 5 over 25lbs. Several patterns are working: deep ledges, frogging/punching and outside grasslines. If you want to catch some big ones get out for a few hours early or late and they will bite. Call 2567445185 to fish with a USCG licensed captain.
