Great day of Haddock fishing on Saturday.  The haddock are being caught on bait with a simple rig consisting of hook and sinker.  Teasers are not working.  Just a simple baited hook is what is catching Haddock.

Anglers had to work hard at the fishing today because the tide was strong and the lines had a bad angle.  But it paid off and we caught some nice Haddock again.

A slow start to the morning but we ended the day strong with a lot of nice Haddock.

The Haddock have been biting very lightly.  Its best to hold the rod in 2 hands.  One hand on the butt of the rod and one hand in front of the reel.  When you feel the slightest tap tap tap bring your front hand up as you drop your back and down in one quick motion.

The 12 hour marathon trip produced a lot of action with Haddock and Pollock.

Monday the water was flat calm so the fish were persnickety again.  But we got some nice big ones.

Fish started to make beds then a cold front came in causing them to move right off the edges of the spawning flats this coming week they should be all over the place up shallow! Haddock fishing was productive on Friday although the Cod were quite hungry as well.

Monday/Tuesday 5/20-21 – Yankee Clipper Good bite both days but a great bite all day Tuesday. Anglers are consistently seeing large haddock and some big pollock in the mix. Saturday 5/19 showed us some worse then forecasted weather which made for a slower then usual day.
