Ripped out for a couple hours in the afternoon and got on our best bite of the season. Mostly oversized fish but weeded thru and got some keepers too. The 8.25 Shad Life paddle tails in white and chartreuse did some damage. Fish pouring into the bay it's lining up to be a great season. See below for some dates available Friday April 25 afternoon Th...

On the 31 Capt Greg had Jim Steel and crew out. Picked some fish early on shads and had a bit of a lull but pieced together a boat limit of keepers with a couple of overs released. Shads accounted for majority of the fish and one fish on an SP minnow. Incredible amount of fish around and it should only get better

Had the pleasure today of having Shawn from AFW on board today with his buddies Cory and Vince  and all of their sons. Tough bite for us but at the end of the day it turned around for us with everyone getting in on the action Vince Sr won the pool releasing a nice 36 inch fish!

On the 31 Capt Greg and Shane had Lou and his sons out today. Very slow start to the day but kept bouncing around fishing through great marks and found a decent bite boxing our 6 man limit of stripers. All fish on @shadlifebaits except for one on an SP

On the 39 had Todd Craig's boys out today bite much slower than last few days. Did mange a few on shad life jigs marked a lot of fish but colder/dirty water from rain didn't help

Whelp! It’s not an April Fool’s joke – we had to cancel our opening day for blackfish. We scheduled it for today April 1st but the weather decided to play a fool and it didn’t feel safe for us to be out. Safety first as always. Instead our new opening day is tomorrow! We’re going […] The post Fishing Report 4/1/25 – Opening Day Canceled but Tomorr...

Evey time we go out on the water we want our guests to catch fish. Frequently we are excited to find out that our guests catch tons of keepers and shorts. Keepers as the name implies are the fish that our guests are legally allowed to keep. But “shorts’ are fish that have to be […] The post Why Do People Love Catching ‘Shorts’ When They Go Fishing...

Had some of my regulars chomping at the bit to get out cabin fever sucks. Had a small window to get out today so we made the run. Hit an offshore wreck and had a nice bite of pollack to 35lbs. Then we dropped for  tiles till lunchtime getting close to 30. Had them on bait and on UVT jigs which is now a sponsor. Couldn't be happier with the performa...

This time of year we’re sailing daily exclusively for blackfish so of course when we’re out on the water that’s what we’re trying to find for our guests. The day started out very strong. There was *a lot* of action. Most of them were shorts but there were enough keepers mixed in that a lot […] The post Fishing Report 11-3-25 – Ups Downs and Ups fo...
