If you follow my guide service on Facebook you know that we’ve been having some REALLY big days on Lake Fork the past few weeks. This week was no different as this past Wednesday my clients Scott and Trey had the trip of a lifetime with their best five weighing 42 lbs 4 oz. They […] The post Lake Fork Report – April 12 2015 appeared first on Lake...

I picked up my new Ranger Z521C powered by the new Evinrude G2 yesterday and I had my first trip in it today. My client Jerry had the trip of a lifetime with a best 5 weighing in at 43.31 lbs. His best 5 went 10.13 9.81 8.81 7.81 and 6.75. It’s a day that […] The post March 11 2015 – Best 5 – 43.31 lbs!!! appeared first on Lake Fork Guide Jason Ho...

The water level on Lake Fork is on the rise as we continue to get rain across our watershed. Lake Fork has risen a little over 2 feet in the past two weeks and we are now sitting at 398.0 (5 feet below full pool). We will continue to rise and the meteorologists are calling […] The post Lake Fork | March 9 2015 appeared first on Lake Fork Guide Jas...

It’s 2:00 p.m. as I write this report and the temperature outside is 32 degrees and falling!!! We are supposed to get down to 23 degrees later this afternoon. For northeast Texas that’s cold!!! Before this past Friday the fishing was fantastic. Friday the clouds moved in and the bite got much tougher because of […] The post Lake Fork | February 23...

Fishing remains very good on Lake Fork despite the small cold front that came through. We had another 18 fish day on Thursday with a 9-03 and a couple more over 7 lbs. Friday morning we boated 7 in a half day with two more over 7 lbs and lost one near the boat that […] The post Lake Fork – 2/12 and 2/13/2015 appeared first on Lake Fork Guide Jason...

Great February day with Nolan and Bobby today. We boated 18 and lost a few more. Lots of good fish today with several fish in the 5-7 pound range. Water temps are on the rise. We started the day in 52.1 degree water and found water as warm as 56.2 degrees. We are getting little […] The post Lake Fork – 2/11/2015 appeared first on Lake Fork Guide J...

We are halfway through the month of October and the fishing on Lake Fork is a little up and down. The fish are scattered and can literally be caught from 1 foot of water to 30 feet of water on a multitude of lures. Needless to say this is making my job difficult at times!!! Springtime spawn is still active on Lakes Grapevine Lewisville and Ray Roberts. Crappie are up in the shallows and holding around timber and boat slips.Warmer temps have helped improve the bite and #s should only increase.Summer pattern of holding in deeper water is picking up as the water temps increase.

May is here and the fishing on Lake Fork is nothing short of fantastic. My clients have caught a lot of big fish the past few weeks with several fish over 9 pounds (including one that weighed in at 12.31 pounds) and more 7+ pound fish than I can count. Our big fish have come […] The post Lake Fork Fishing Report | May 4 2014 appeared first on Lake...

We had a great day on Lake Fork today despite the 30+ mph winds. My client Chris Morrison from Maryland set his new personal best this morning with a 7.94 pounder. This afternoon he shattered that by catching a 12.31 pounder!!! Our best 5 fish today topped 39 pounds!!! What a day….. The post Lake Fork Fishing Report – April 10 2014 appeared first...

The lakes are low causing most piles to be to shallow this summer but with the cooler water temps they are starting to produce more and more fish with the quality of the fish improving greatly.

It’s been a little bit of a roller coaster ride the last couple of weeks but we have had more good days than tough days. Most days the difference in having a good day versus a bad day is one or two schools of fish. On the good days we are finding at least one […] The post Lake Fork Fishing Report – August 7 2013 appeared first on Lake Fork Guide J...

It’s been a good week for us here on Lake Fork with several fish over 6 pounds caught by my clients and me. We are still finding most of our fish in deeper water and 18-21 feet seems to be the best depth for me. As far as baits and presentations go a drop shot... Happy Independence Day everyone! The fishing on Lake Fork has been very good in my boat the last few days. We have had a couple of slow days after this cold front where we had a hard time locating a school of fish that wanted to bite but that’s not totally unusual for this time...
