WE SINCERELY APOLOGIZE FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO ANSWER THE PHONE. Writing nasty emails about our poor customer service won’t make us answer. We can only do what we can do at half staff and historic demand. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

.WATER TEMP: 64
Water Flow 322 CFS IN 297 CFS Out
CURRENT CONDITIONS: Witchers Cove boat ramp is closed. Park office is open closed on Wednesday and Thursday. Showers and laundry are closed. Expect huge crowds every weekend. With the Park office closed on Wed and Thurs we are inundated on those days with folks frustrated for Park services that we do not provide.
WATERCRAFT RENTALS: As people massively stream to the great outdoors to get respite from all that is Covid-19 we completely understand the need and desire to go boating and fishing. However the demand has exceeded our ability to provide the service that we would like to provide. We have decided to take the following action in an effort to eliminate the frustration of both customers and ourselves. Until further notice we will not be taking watercraft rental reservations over the phone. All boats will be first come first served or by previous reservation or reservation made in house. In addition reservations do not guarantee equipment. Our boats are being abused beyond belief. We went through 12 props in six days. At that rate we won’t have props to replace. Due to supply chain issues we are unable to get parts for repairs when people break things as they are known to do. So it is very possible as we get deeper into the season that boats may be off line due to circumstances beyond our control.
PIC # 1 It’s not who you know its Julio. White tube jig.

Stop in and find out how we can help you catch. Get a topo map. They say information is gold. It's also critical to catching fish from shore or boat. The maps have GPS coordinates on them so you just can't miss. We want you to be successful here at the Mile. Get a map we will MARK IT UP with the hot spots. Our tackle shop is fully stocked with all the great things you apparently can’t find at Cabela’s, Bass Pro and Wal Mart. TACKLE THE NEW TP…. go figure. Our tackle shop is fully stocked.
TROUT:: GOOD: Maybe we are starting to see a pattern but there is very decent action in the afternoon heading into late afternoon. Might have something to due with the daily change of weather with monsoon moisture and small fronts that move through. Calm mornings make for slower conditions with everyday being just a little different. What lure was hot on Monday is cold on Tuesday. Tune jigs work great one day and fall flat the next. Be prepared to change up. Try lures and patterns you have avoided. One day the only thing we could catch a fish on was the 1/8 oz BT Kastmaster. Next day couldn’t buy a fish with it. Daredevles have sat in my box unused in awhile for Trout become a hot commodity for two days. Change your trolling speed if that is your method of choice. for fishing. Pitch a different color tube and bingo find the right color of the day.
Shore action has been good with people pitching Kastmasters or your favorite bait There has been an interesting early afternoon bite usually before the funky afternoon weather moves in
KOKANEE SALMON: POOR: They are there but hard to entice. You can still pic one up here and there but that is about the best we have seen. Early morning seems to be better. Try Macks Wedding rings.
NORTHERN PIKE:: FAIR: Action is consistent for smaller fish The big ones don’t like calm conditions and we have had that in the early parts of the day. Work the weed lines on the west or rock drop offs on the east. Big sticks and Spinner baits have done well. And of course we catch em on the Kastmaster which has been one of the better performing lures n general this season. Firetiger always a good pattern to throw. Been having good luck on black and blue Bill’s Spinner Bait if fished just right. Flutter it and let it drop like a jig.
SERIOUS FISHERMEN TEAM PIKE TOURNAMENT has become another Covid casualty. Due to restrictions placed on us and the general unknown as to where these recent spikes are headed we have decided to take a pass this year on the contest. SORRY but we just think it is best all things considered.
SPECIAL NOTE: 11 Mile Marina is located at the North Shore in Eleven Mile State Park, Lake George Colorado. A CPW Park Pass is required on all vehicles entering the Park. Any fees for Guide/Outfitter/Rental services do not include Park fees, CO fishing license or gratuities.
The WEEKLY FISHING REPORT is produced by fishermen for fishermen. We try to get it done every Thursday but some times fishing or life gets in the way. So if its not there on Thursday morning it will show up by Friday. We appreciate all the support and acknowledge that many of you won't miss a week but every now and then we might. Be Safe. Fish On!
