We have been dealing with some red tide issues here in Sarasota, Florida.  The red tide has eased up of late.  One result of it is that it tends to concentrate fish in areas that are unaffected by the algae bloom.  The area in Robert's Bay and Little Sarasota Bay have been cleaner and are holding good numbers of snook and snapper.

Many of the snook are "schoolies" in the 20" range.  There are some larger fish mixed in.  Rapala X-Raps cast around structure at first light have been effective.  Later in the morning, live bait, either bait fish or shrimp, are producing under docks and in deeper holes.
