Cabo San Lucas Fishing

Cabo is best known as the Striped Marlin Capital of the World, with over 12,000 caught annually within its waters. With the deep waters of the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean only a couple of miles off the beach, Cabo provides excellent opportunities to catch a variety of different species of fish.

Striped Marlin are around Cabo all year round. However, September through October are usually the best months to catch a billfish, and Cabo has lots of Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Sailfish, and Striped Marlin in the waters during that time. Besides billfish, fishing offshore Cabo you can expect to catch Dorado (Dolphinfish), Mako Shark, Wahoo, and Yellowfin Tuna.

Along the shore you will find Roosterfish, Sierra Mackerel, and Snook. Bottom fishing will offer many different species of Snapper and Grouper, as well as Amberjack, Bonita, Cabrilla, Jack Crevalle, and Yellowtail.
