Stuart, Florida is known as the Sailfish Capital of the World. Located on the famous Treasure Coast, Stuart offers not only the chance to find spanish galleon treasure, but some of the best fishing in the world.
Offshore fishing Stuart is productive for catching Sailfish and other billfish much of the year, but also has Wahoo, Mahi-mahi (Dolphinfish), and Blackfin Tuna. The winter Sailfish bite is the highlight, but with short runs the Gulf Stream and excellent structure, there are lots of possibilities.
Stuart has lots of naturual and artificial reefs right off the beach that provide excellent bottom fishing for Snapper and Grouper. trolling for King Mackerel around the reefs is rewarding and lots of Jacks to tug on when other fish are not hungry.
Inshore and on the beaches around Stuart are lots of Cobia and Tarpon much of the year. Snook, Red Drum, and Spanish Mackerel are also favorite species to target.
