As the water temperature dropped with the cooler nights both bass and crappie started migrating shallow. Rattle traps crankbaits and spinnerbaits were productive in shallow water around boulder rocks and isolated wood. The crappie also moved shallow into 8-12ft brushpiles. October was a fun month! What a fantastic four weeks! The crappie were on fire shallow biting on live minnows and Crappie Magnets while the bass transitioned from shallow to deep in 4ft-8ft of water! The creek produced well for both species but the main lake started to produce with the warmer temperatures!
