October might actually be the best fishing of the year. The bass are feeding aggressively and the crappie are stacked up on the brushpiles. This week I did 4 guide trips and our average catch rate was 40 per day with our best 5 over 19lbs every day. There are 2 dominant patterns: flipping and froggin won the BFL and scoping is the easiest way to catch numbers right now. In October numbers are always excellent but this year size has been really good as well.
