Deep sea fishing report for Key West Tuesday October 7, 2025. For the past 30 years that I’ve been fishing here in Key West I have seen October show up with many faces weather wise. Some years it seems that hurricane season just won’t let go and we get tropical conditions all the way into November. This year October is providing amazing, calm conditions, and decent deep sea fishing. We have been getting some nice mahi out there.. Fishing Report I fished my 47 Viking the INXS all the way through yesterday with great results for this time of year. A mixed bag of mahi, wahoo, and black fin tuna with the occasional large barracuda. Yesterday for example, I moved my Tripp departure back to 10 AM due to the full moon. I have found in the past that Mahi-mahi get fed up all night long when they can see really good due to the full moon – my bet paid off. We racked up six nice dolphin lost several others and had a nice shot at a Sailfish who came in and destroyed two of my baits. We dropped back and hooked him three times but Just could not [...]
