Venice, Louisiana continues to produce strong redfish action across the marsh and delta systems. Shallow flats and grass edges have been holding fish, especially on moving tides, with consistent slot redfish and occasional bulls mixed in depending on conditions.
With waterfowl season recently wrapping up, this year’s duck hunting in the Mississippi River Delta saw steady bird numbers throughout much of the migration. The combination of healthy marsh habitat and favorable weather windows made for productive mornings in the blind.
One of the most popular requests this season was the cast and blast option — pairing a morning duck hunt with an afternoon redfish trip. Venice remains one of the few places where anglers and hunters can experience both in a single day.
As we shift fully into spring fishing patterns, we’re preparing for another strong year on the water and looking ahead to next waterfowl season.
