The Pappy’s Lane shipwreck is located off of Pappy Lane in Rodanthe, NC. The wreck once believed to be a gravel barge from the 1960's, is now being cosidered as a WWII troop transport ship. There are two related classes of World War II gunboats, Landing Craft Infantry (LCI) and Landing Craft Support (LCS) vessels that this ship is thought to be one of. The wreck sits in approximately 3 feet of water.
