Hooking Up Anglers Since 2011.
On Monday we had to work a little harder for the bite, but picked at them all day and ended up with 11 Mahi. We also got to see a big school of Pilot Whales.
On Tuesday we started around triple zeros and worked our way toward Rockpile. Most of the bites were in 77-78 degree water and on Blue or Green baits or dink baits. We ended up with 16 Mahi and a Blackfin and a total of 189 pounds of fish and a whole lot of meat for the freezer.
There were also a few Blue Marlin and White Marlin caught over the last few days as well, including a 468 pounder that got tail wrapped and died during the fight. On Tuesday, I saw a 300+ pound Blue Marlin bust up a pod of Tuna behind our spread. Unfortunately, he was not interested in our offering.
On both days, Blue or Green were the main colors with a few on Pink. The Eye Catcher baitshowers were hot both days.
